Common questions
Getting your team and families started with AthletIQ.
How do I create and manage a team?
Sign up as a coach, create your team, and add athletes or invite families. Your team page brings together the roster, paperwork, calendar, meet results, announcements, conversations, gear and venues.
Can I manage more than one team?
Coaches can create multiple teams and switch between them. The program view brings together athletes, paperwork readiness, upcoming meets and gear check-outs across their teams.
How do families keep up with events?
Practices and meets appear in the athlete's calendar. Parents can view their children's calendars, send absence notices, read team announcements and talk privately with coaches.
What do I need to use AthletIQ?
A phone, tablet, or computer with a modern web browser. Nothing to install.
Where does the body tracking happen?
Body tracking runs in your browser on your device. If you save an analysis, the video is stored privately in your account so you can replay it.
What can a parent control?
Parents manage their children's profiles, approve new sports, approve team invitations and transfers, and decide when a child gets their own login.
How accurate are the numbers?
Angles and timing are good for spotting trends and habits. Distance and speed are estimates from one camera view, so use them to compare your own reps, not as official marks.
How do I get my child started?
Sign up as a parent, add your child, and approve their team invitation when it arrives. Their athlete profile keeps events, paperwork, personal gear and development tools together.
Where does video analysis fit in?
Video form analysis is a development tool inside each athlete's profile, alongside records and training plans. Available analyzers cover discus, shot put, softball swing, baseball swing, basketball jump shot, and football QB throw.
Who can see daily check-ins?
The athlete and their linked parents see everything. Coaches only see the answers the athlete chooses to share, and never the private notes.
What makes a mark official?
Athletes and families can log self-reported marks. Only the athlete's coach, an admin or meet staff can record official or coach-observed marks, and official meet results update personal records.
Can teams outside AthletIQ enter a hosted meet?
Yes. A meet can be open to any team. Coaches can enter athletes who aren't on AthletIQ with their team or club name, and parents can enter their own child unattached.
Is there a team chat?
Each team has a live chat for the coach, athletes and linked parents. Coaches can pin messages and switch the chat to coach-only posting.
